Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship 2018

On June 4th 2018, SAI Info-Tech held the 2nd Annual Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship at the Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina. The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship is a global competition to tests students’ skills on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Participating in this competition provides an excellent opportunity for youth to showcase their Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, have some fun, impress student colleagues, and gain recognition.
SAI Info-Tech is the only institute in the country authorized by Certiport, which is the premier certification organization endorsed by Microsoft. The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification gives students a commanding competitive edge in today’s academic and professional environments. Hence the reason that SAI Info-Tech decided to provide this unique opportunity to the students in Belize with this Microsoft Office Specialist certification.
This year ten students from three different high schools registered to participate in the Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship, Belize High School, Belize Christian Academy and Anglican Cathedral College. Mohit Vanjani, of Belize High School got the first-place with a perfect score of 1000/1000 points. In second place was Angelo Santos (last year’s winner), from Belize High School with a score of 948 points. The third prize went to Michael Waight, of Belize High School, with a score of 868 points.
